Στο Φανάρι ο Πρόεδρος του ΣΑΕ

Ο Πρόεδρος του Συμβουλίου Απόδημου Ελληνισμού (ΣΑΕ), στο Φανάρι για τον εορτασμό των Θεοφανίων. Το ΣΑΕ στο πλευρό του Οικουμενικού ΠατριαρχείουΟ Πρόεδρος του Συμβουλίου Απόδημου Ελληνισμού (ΣΑΕ), κ. Στέφανος Π. Ταμβάκης, μετέβη στην Κωνσταντινούπολη, για τον εορτασμό των Θεοφανίων...

Το πρωί, ο κ. Ταμβάκης παρέστη στην Πατριαρχική και Συνοδική Θεία Λειτουργία, προεξάρχοντος του Οικουμενικού Πατριάρχου, κ.κ. Βαρθολομαίου, που τελέστηκε με παραδοσιακή μεγαλοπρέπεια στον Πατριαρχικό Ναό του Αγίου Γεωργίου, στο Φανάρι, παρουσία του Υφυπουργού Παιδείας, δια Βίου Μάθησης και Θρησκευμάτων, κ. Ιωάννη Πανάρετου, του Πρέσβη της Ελλάδας στην Άγκυρα, κ. Φ. Ξύδα, πλήθος ομογενών και προσκυνητών από την Ελλάδα και το εξωτερικό.Μετά το πέρας της Θείας Λειτουργίας ο Οικουμενικός Πατριάρχης, μαζί με τους Ιεράρχες και το εκκλησίασμα, εν πομπή, κατευθύνθηκαν στην προκυμαία του Φαναρίου, όπου ακολούθησε ο αγιασμός των υδάτων του Κερατίου Κόλπου με την ρίψη του Σταυρού από τον κ.κ. Βαρθολομαίο.Σε κατ΄ ιδίαν συνάντηση με τον Προκαθήμενο της Ορθοδοξίας, ο κ. Ταμβάκης είχε την ευκαιρία να μεταφέρει, για άλλη μια φορά, την αμέριστη στήριξη που παρέχει το ΣΑΕ και ο ίδιος προσωπικά στο θεσμό του Οικουμενικού Πατριαρχείου και προς τον κ.κ. Βαρθολομαίο, θρησκευτικό και πνευματικό ηγέτη εκατοντάδων εκατομμυρίων Ορθοδόξων Χριστιανών σε όλο τον κόσμο.Ο Πρόεδρος του ΣΑΕ, εκ΄ μέρους όλων των Μελών του Προεδρείου, τόνισε – μεταξύ άλλων – ότι ο Απανταχού Ελληνισμός, με συνέπεια, καταβάλλει κάθε προσπάθεια για να επιτευχθεί η κατοχύρωση των δικαιωμάτων λειτουργίας και αποστολής του Οικουμενικού Πατριαρχείου στην Κωνσταντινούπολη και της ομογένεια της Πόλης, παράλληλα με τη συνέχιση της διαρκούς και ουσιαστικής υποστήριξης από όλες τις πλευρές στο πρόσωπο του Οικουμενικού Πατριάρχη και του παγκοσμίου θεσμού που εκπροσωπεί.Τέλος, ο κ.Ταμβάκης προσέφερε στον Οικουμενικό Πατριάρχη αντίτυπο της ειδικής συλλεκτικής έκδοσης του ΣΑΕ, που κυκλοφόρησε με αφορμή τα 75ρονα από το θάνατο του Κ.Π. Καβάφη, με το ποίημα «Η Πόλις», μεταφρασμένο σε 33 γλώσσες.Το μεσημέρι, ο Πρόεδρος του ΣΑΕ παρακάθησε σε γεύμα που παρέθεσε ο Οικουμενικός Πατριάρχης.

The President of the World Council of Hellenes Abroad (SAE), Mr. Stefanos P. Tamvakis travelled to Constantinople in for the purpose of the Celebration of the Feast of the Holy Epiphany.This morning, Mr. Tamvakis attended the Patriarchal and Synodical Divine Liturgy led by the Ecumenical Patriarch, His all Holiness Bartholomew, which was carried out in traditional majesty at the Patriarchal Church of Saint Georgios in Phanar, in the presence of the Deputy Minister of Education, Life Long Learning and Religious Affairs, Mr. Ioannis Panaretou, the Ambassador of Greece in Ankara, Mr. F. Ksidas and a great number of Greeks in Turkey, pilgrims from Greece and other countries.After the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy, the Ecumenical Patriarch, along with Hierarchs and the Congregation, in procession, moved towards the quayside of Phanar, whereby the Blessing of the Waters of Ceratius Gulf took place with the Ecumenical Patriarch, His all Holiness Bartholomew, throwing the Cross in the waters.In a private meeting held between Mr. Tamvakis and the Ecumenical Patriarch, Mr. Tamvakis had the opportunity to express, for one more time, the immense support provided by SAE and himself towards the Ecumenical Patriarchate and towards the Ecumenical Patriarch, His all Holiness Bartholomew, a religious and spiritual leader of hundreds of millions of Orthodox Christians World Wide.The President of SAE, on behalf of all the Members of the Board of Directors, emphasized – among others – that Hellenes world wide, with utmost faith, are doing their best in order to establish the rights of the work and mission of the Ecumenical Patriarchate in Constantinople and the Diaspora of Constantinople, along with the continuous and substantial support from all sides towards the Ecumenical Patriarch and the world-wide institution he represents.Lastly, Mr. Tamvakis offered the Ecumenical Patriarch, a copy of the special collector’s edition of SAE publication, which was distributed on the occasion of the 75 years’ death anniversary of the poet K.P. Kavaphis, entitled “Polis”, translated in 33 languages.At noon the President of SAE attended a lunch held by the Ecumenical Patriarch.
